Chalong traffic today

Anyone know what was going on at Chalong around lunchtime today? All roads around the Circle blocked, traffic tailbacks win every direction, police everywhere.

Probably a VIP visitor.

What annoyed me more, however, wasn't the fact I'd been inconvenienced, but an ambulance, blue lights flashing and siren wailing, having no option other than to sit in the traffic and wait as the police, despite being less than 100 metres away, made absolutely no effort at all to help the ambulance on its way. Sums up this country's priorities!

Some big wig around, was the same on the way to the aquarium yesterday over at Panwa, cops lining the road for miles and a group of navy in best dress out front of the base.

The princess is in town staying at sri panwa. She visited temples at Chalong and Karon. The usual road blocking that goes with it all.

I dont understand it at all. Why not just jump in a blacked out vios and blend in?

Yesterday at about 5pm the traffic was backed up on Chao Fa West past Soi Yodsane. Cars making a U turn just past the exit from Home Pro & the big lineup (which will continue to grow as the underpass gets underway) coming out of Soi Anuson does not help at all. Ambulances were trying to get around that U turn, either that or there was an accident on that spot.

On the other side of the circle heading down Visit Rd towards Rawai it can easily get jammed from the U turn back to the circle when the large tour buses have to make a turn & the cars on the other side block the yellow crossed lines.

still dont understand how such a big hotel doesnt know its own country's grammar

that would be si panwaa

ศรีพันวา

Actually they do know their grammar.

It says sri panwaa in Thai script. The 'r' is there and although not pronounced it should be written.
