Is it necessary to be retired to get a retirement extension?

I got one last October, but am still working, but not in Thailand.

I have been in China since end of October, and will be returning

to Thailand at the end of January.

I have a multiple re-entry permit.

Am I likely to be questioned at immigration on arrival?

No you are just fine... You can not work in THAILAND, that is the only thing.

Otherwise as said, you are just fine....

If money comes from work or retirement abroad, nobody cares.

  • No you don't need to be retired. As long as you do not work in Thailand you're ok with an extension of stay based on retirement. Crazy but true!

It's very unlikely that you will be questioned by immigration on re-entry.

Elviajero,

double-answer from you... already answered by me...

The OP asked two questions but you only answered one. And it is better for any OP to have the answer clarified by more than one member.
