domado16
Hi everyone, Am considering crossing the border at Mae Sot into Myanmar and out (I have a double entry visa, I want to activate the second one, I am aware that visa exemption visa runs are not possible here anymore). My concern is about the visa needed to enter Myanmar, I've read guides online (from 2014) about being able to purchase a one day pass for 500B, but can't find anything official about this anywhere, so just wanted to ask if anyone has any recent experience about this being still available or not. Thanks in advance.
ubonjoe
You can get a border pass. No need for a Myanmar visa. A post you made in another topic you did was answered here, http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/883463-exiting-thailand-at-nong-khai-vientiane-border-and-re-entering-without-entering-laos/#entry10269300
NoshowJones
Yes, I was offered one there last month.
Fallangpakwan
No problem, cross the bridge, pay 500baht, get a temporary pass and take a look around or go straight back over the bridge.
domado16
Ended up crossing the border at Mae Sai, got a border pass for 500B, very easy. Thanks for the replies.
thaiman
Are crossings on a visa exempt entries still not allowed? Does it depend on the person working at immigration and the amount of stamps already in the passport?

Best to go to Chiang Khong to do the crossing.
