Thai privilege (Elite) visa
Thai Elite Visa. Is it rapidly becoming the unsellable Dead Stock to Thai govt? Because of their recent introduction of DTV(destination Thailand visa). Valid for 5 yrs with 180 days yearly stay permit(extendable further 6 months after initial entry?). And its price only THB50000, far below the Elite Visa. And no need to large amount of fund transfer into Thai bank account. As it is issue by the Thai embassies abroad, the applicants only have to prove their fund in home countries account. -

You're telling porkies. Both the Thai Embassy in Canberra and the Thai Consulate in Sydney clearly say visa exempt is 60 days and have done so since mid July. -

Change from 800,000 in bank to using income and money in bank
Correct , the money arrives each month except not always the same amount received in baht. I appreciate your advice on speaking with the Chiang Mai immigration yet all the same it is good to learn from other people's experience and have as much understanding of how they operate on the subject of combination extensions. Problem is you then can’t sell your old device & then in my case, I’d be stuck with two max size iPhones. I did this before the dual SIM iPhones & it means always having a bag with you. When I’m back in Thailand, I’m seriously tempted to buy an iPhone SE as a secondary device and put my Thai banking apps on there. -

Free trade agreement between Thailand and China?
I think there is one, based on my receipt of goods sent from China over the past decade. No import tax was levied by Thai customs. Now (unfortunately), a supplier in China has sent me something by UPS (why oh why didn't they use China Post?!). Of course, UPS is now holding said item for 'ransom', demanding payment of customs duties. I used to have the link to the online database which indicated what import tax (if any) would be due on different kinds of items that are imported into Thailand from China. Does anyone know the link? I want to double-check the tax situation for my item before I 'do battle' with UPS. Thanks -

Does'nt matter who you covet, rate, tar etc, in politics, all politicians, their ambitions and rhetoric are now ruled by the likes of Black Rock, Vanguard, Goldman Sachs et al's boardrooms. If you don't curry favour and bow to them and their investment/hedge/funds you're screwed politically. Father Cheney? Wasn't he on the board of Haliburton back in the 90's and noughties, leveraging for war in the middle east, ie: Iraq, and then oh so conveniently Haliburton picked up the multi billion contracts from the US government to 'rebuild' Iraq after bombing the crap out of the place. Bet Goldman et al had nice big bets on Haliburton stocks back then?? It's all totally corrupt, does'nt matter if east or west politics! -
