California state of emergency over methane leak

LOS ANGELES: -- The governor of California has declared a state of emergency in a suburb of Los Angeles over the leaking of methane gas from an underground storage field.

Jerry Brown ordered "all necessary and viable actions" be taken to stop it.

More than 2,000 families have been moved from their homes and many people have reported feeling ill because of the leakage, which began in October.

It stems from a vast underground storage field in Porter Ranch, on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

2 weeks ago, about 7 protesters were waving placards.....and the problem was already old.

Not exactly fast and decisive action by Jerry Brown.

Considering that Browns sister is on the board of companies involved with this spill , who make heavy donations to politicians it was quick..... ha ha.

Apparently he was put under pressure about this and only then declared a state of emergency, that was a few days ago, I thought they might have capped it by now ,it is a shocking envoromental dissaster spewing unbelievable amounts of toxins over the city and into waterways causing huge evacuations of some areas.

The company refused to compensate sufferers who wanted to buy air purifiers saying we will supply you with them, then not coming up with the goods.

Brown and co should be jailed.
