portable generators

Hi Iam looking for a method using a bore hole to pump water out for a duck farm there is no electricity in the area

anybody with a solution?

There are lots of solar run pumps around now a days, you might want to check that out. My wife uses our iron buffalo, hooked up to a pump to pump water out of a bore hole, works well and I believe is more efficient than running a diesel generator to power an electric pump. Or if you don't have an iron buffalo, buy a diesel or gas powered pump.

Issan george, what is an iron buffalo? and when you say gas pump, do you mean petrol pump? I know USA calls petrol, gas for some reason. Just to clarify please.

Two wheeled tractor. Around here, anything left outside without guard over night is likely to be stolen. That's why they use the iron buffalo to pump water and go home on.

Suggest that solar is the way to go and there are plenty systems available. Do a Google search on Monosun technology, they certainly have them and know their stuff.

This is an iron buffalo. Every farming in isaan has one. Every farmer knows how to pump water where there no elcetrity. These iron buffalos use diesel not petrol/gas.

Solar panels will get stolen.

Thanks for clarification folks.

If your out in the sticks and do not live on site then your kit will grow legs. That why an iron buffalo is used.

Perhaps something like this from Honda. Depends upon how deep the borehole is. You would need to check the suction lift of it (26 feet for one shown). Seen them for sale here.
