I have a Norwegian friend living in Issan, his English is quite basic, & what he misses the most is being able to read novels.

As from this week all E-books in Norway are free to download & read The Norwegian government will pay the Author 1.5 baht every time someone downloads one of his books the report on this is here --
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/booknews/10575900/Books-go-online-for-free-in-Norway.html
The catch for my friend is , because of copyright issues the down loader must be in Norway. I have several different proxy's that give me a choice of different Countries , however Norway isn't listed in any of them. Does anyone know of a proxy that includes Norway----Or know of a way that I can access a Norwegian I.P

Thanks

The book site we will use in Norway is here----

Either a Proxy or a VPN would probably work.

Suggest you do a Google search for Norway VPN

The easiest method to access the restricted content would be to install a VPN Browser Add-On / Extension that can make connections to many different countries. Maybe try it yourself first, then walk your friend through the process.

Hola Better Internet

Note: there are some concerns with using the free VPN utilities as many will use your computer as an open node for that country (meaning other people can use your computer to make connections and post or download legal/illegal content using your IP Address).

I have Cyberghost VPN.

I just switched to Norway.

As my Norwegian is a bit fragmentary tongue.png its hard to say whether I get to the point.

Seems I need a "Logg Inn" for downloading?

In the report they write:

The books are available in Norway at the site bokhylla.no ("bookshelf" in Norwegian) but access is limited to internet users in Norway (and foreign researchers) and the books cannot be downloaded.

And on the other hand I just tried it with a Thai IP and could open books and browse down a few pages without problem.

So I am confused.

Try yourself:
