January 8, 201610 yr Hi All, Just wanted to say a big thank you really. I know I've been on here and asked loads of questions... So we got the entry permit to the UK, it didn't take long either, docs were dropped off in Bangkok on 21st December, and passport was delivered today by EMS. So just over 2 weeks. The only slightly annoying thing is that when he was dropping the docs off the person at the desk, said he had to choose a date 3/4 months ahead!?? So he changed it now we have to wait 6 weeks before he can come here. But better that that none. Anyway again thanks for all the advice. Just in case anyone is wondering for their applications here is a list of what I handed in: 6 months bank statements with the last month printed off online statements 6 months wage slips from both my jobs Contracts from both my jobs employers letter from both my jobs photos of my flat rental agreement council tax bill-to prove i was sole occupier Marriage cert and translation Husbands Tabien baan and translation All the visa forms Photocopies of my passport in my maiden name and married name showing all my stamps to and from Thailand Photos/phone records of us ( kept the same load from previous visas) His English test cert TB test cert Cover letter from me
January 8, 201610 yr A bit late now but there is no need to choose a date 3/4 months ahead. Actually you can request the visa start date to be post dated by up to 3 months but only if it suits you otherwise the visa starts from the date it is processed. There may have been a misunderstanding or dodgy information. VFS are not allowed to change anything on an application nor give visa advice. Only the applicant and UKVI should be doing this! Congratulations!
January 8, 201610 yr Author Yes I Think it was dodgy information. When he told me they said that I knew it was wrong.
