Hannah Witheridge's sister, Laurie, has come out strongly against the official Thai handling of the case.

Here's Laurie's missive

I think it's newsworthy and warrants re-opening the KT trial thread or starting a new one in lieu of the announcement from less than 24 hours ago. The topic should be opened for the following reasons:

>>> All along, Thai officials have prided themselves on keeping the victims' families on their side. Now a key family member has spoken openly of her profound dissatisfaction with how Thai officialdom has handled the case...

>>> ....and dissatisfaction with how rudely Thai officialdom treated the Witheridge family.

>>> All the threads on this topic have been popular

>>> The latest thread was no exception. It was closed because a moderator got tired of reading. He says there was nothing new. I could show him (or anyone interested) that there were new bits of news every day. The day he closed the thread there was new expert clarification on the lack of DNA trail, for example - details of which hadn't been published prior.

>>> If a moderator is tired of reading the posts, then find someone who doesn't tire so easily. It's obvious the topic is very popular. 16 months after the crime, and there are still over a dozen posts/hour and many who are keenly interested.
