PATTAYA -- On Wednesday afternoon, Police and medics attended the scene of a road crash in North Pattaya which saw a Swedish National seriously injured.

The crash occurred on the Bangkok-bound carriageway of the Sukhumvit Road in North Pattaya close to a PTT Petrol Station, and resulted in serious injuries sustained to Mr. Johan Bjoern aged 74 from Sweden. Police described a strong odor of alcoholic beverages coming from him but the priority was to make sure he was quickly sent to Hospital, where he was treated for a broken leg and severe facial injuries, along with other upper body and possible internal injuries.

Mr. Bjoern’s motorbike was seen to strike the side of a Jeep Cherokee driven by Mr. Ian Taylor aged 66 from USA and then the Swede was thrown off his bike and across the carriageway. He struck a parked car as he slid to the left-side of the carriageway.
