January 21, 201610 yr Not sure if its the right forum to ask in but i figured the forum with the most knowledge on general stuff about this.. Im still married but separated and we have 2 kids, 7 year old has an expired passport and the youngest has never had one. My question can I go and do myself with the kids or do i need to have thai wife signature also. I have the marriage cert and also kids birth certs.
January 21, 201610 yr You will need consent from you wife to apply for the passports. See here for the requirements. http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/1415/21479-Requirements-for-the-Ordinary-e-Passports-Applicat.html The consent form can be downloaded here: http://www.consular.go.th/main/contents/files/services-20120630-195748-510034.pdf

January 21, 201610 yr Author Thanks for the help guys, they dont make it easy hey!! From what i can gather i can go alone and apply but she must pick it up or i get a noterised consent form. Whats really crazy is that on the thai birth certificates there is no mention of the married name, the only field is Name before marriage so the is no actually tally up as her being the mother (apart from the first name) where it clearly says the fathers name!! Do i also need a signed copy of her ID card as that might be harder to get or consent form ok?
January 21, 201610 yr There is no online application. It can only be done at a passport office. Not sure but I think the only office where you could do the application and submit the consent form later would be at the Chaeng Wattana office in Bangkok.. Other offices send the new passport by EMS now. This from the webpage. Certified for most things here means a signed copy and I suspect it is the same in this case for the ID card. A parental consent letter and a certified copy of the parent’s Citizenship I.D. Card of non-appearing parent
