Who is this guy Prawit? How are we to believe anything he says? I would consider something coming out of the mouth of Clinton or Trump to have more credibility, and that is saying alot, as neither has told the truth in a decade or more.

Well, it is very hard to defend this administration. The only one who comes to mind is Finance Minister Apisak Tantivorawong. And the only reason is that he has a background in the area of his appointed task, which in and of itself is a miracle. In Thailand's history, there have been so few highly qualified candidates, as the political establishment appears to be the polar opposite of a meritocracy. At least this guy has some experience in finance, and speaks his mind, from time to time, when he is not being muzzled.

That is about all I can come up with. I cannot think of another qualified and competent individual in this most deficient of administrations.

There are about 4 million Muslims in Thailand.

It is guaranteed there are among them IS sympathizers, and among those sympathizers a few that want to put their thoughts into action.

If only 1 in a thousand is a sympathizer, and 1 in a hundred sympathizers is a planner, that would equate to 40 individuals planning at this time.

The guys that terrorize the public don't look anything like he guys standing in the back of the Toyota pickups flying Black Flags. They are dressed in civvies, they carry their weapon hidden from view and operate singly. There maybe other ones singly in the neighborhood, but they never are all together in a clump. They maybe are in a clump when coming together at the point of attack. But before that they're singly. The ONLY IS about them is that IS supports them with weapons and explosives, and as individuals they're not even Arabs from the Middle East, they maybe Arabs, but Arabs born and raised in the West speaking local language learned when growing up in the West.

From the Nazi occupation of my country the Nazi jackboots called it "Resistance" during the 5-years of occupation never once heard the Nazis call it "terrorist" the Nazis weren't in the business of scaring the local citizenry like all the fascist governments around the world are involved in now.

The Nazis also had "resistance" local Germans living in the countries the Nazis had on their list to occupy. My relative a sergeant in the military was killed (shot dead with a German Wehrmacht telescope rifle) by his neighbor of several years who happen to be a German national and as turned out was in the Nazi "resistance" in my country.

Do you REALLY know who your neighbor is???

Do you REALLY know who the guy working next to you at your workplace is???

The list is longer than your arm and includes your own family members if/when married a local and in your home country.

the Muslims on that soi were the tolerant,just want to be left alone to practice their religion, type

Muslims.Perfectly harmless and just getting on with their lives.I wonder now how many of those,wonderful,tolerant

Muslims could have actually been 'sleeper's' who had visited the Mosques as young men, and listened to the vitriolic filth and hatred

from visiting Oman's.Is it possible that now,there is a clear and present danger from an army of Muslims,already here and here

I don't understand your reference to Oman. There are many ways for young Muslims to become radicalized. Visiting Oman is not one of them.

The BP is running a front page item on 're structuring of Immigration' (not same as their stated intention to NOT re structure the RTA then), and are introducing new biometric technology to screen people at airports. However. No mention of a rout of the many Imm officials ready and willing to forgo such screening in return for a bung. The words 'futile' and 'pointless' spring to mind, notwithstanding 'disingenuous' as I do not believe for one moment that those currently running the show are not aware of the massive corruption of Thai Immigration unless they are deaf dumb blind and/or stupid.
