District Officials arrest suspected drug dealer in North Pattaya

PATTAYA -- District Officials were tipped-off via an internet chat forum on Thursday that a man was suspected of selling drugs behind a Temple in North Pattaya and after some surveillance and evidence-gathering, the suspect was arrested.

The drug operation took place behind the Yung Yai Temple in the northern outskirts of Pattaya on Thursday Night and began with officers positioning themselves behind trees and buildings with cameras on standby.

It wasn’t long until the suspected dealer arrived and he was seen to pass a package to a motorbike driver who arrived and left within seconds. At this point officers moved in and arrested Khun Sorn who was in possession of 20 Yabba Tablets.

I really wonder sometimes, how it is possible that if you walk into WalkingStr coming from Bali Hai pier, you can buy drugs from several blokes who approach you even still today, while there is police sitting at a table less than 500 m. away?
