Trying to work out a trip....I think the 8th is a friday....if its around the 13th, would it be correct to assume that the mass exodus could be that friday night and an extra long break taken ?

13 to 15 is Wed to Fri, so a 5 day "long weekend" anyway.

So far there is no announcement of yet another full extra two holidays (Mon 11, Tue 12).

My bet would be that there is only a smaller fraction of people who can do holidays on their own and stretch it to a total of 9 (!) days.

April 12 and 17 will be the extremely busy days.

Just guessing.

Thanks......somewhat plan to get into bangkok on the 7th or 8th and head north east the next day...

There is also a FREE calender you can download with all relevant holidays etc marked on it.
