January 28, 201610 yr The more one sees of these shocking accidents, the more the problem points to the lack of training of the drivers.. The drivers just don't seem to care about the people in their care.. No one in government who controls these idiots gives a hoot....Amazing Thailand....
January 28, 201610 yr Not trying to minimize the drivers responsibility in the least, but I haven't seen my favorite headline for quite a while, "The driver fled the scene"
January 28, 201610 yr "The bus lost control, overturned and fell into the side the highway." It was the bus' fault. It's never the "driver lost control". because he was impaired or incompetent.
January 28, 201610 yr They should stop importing these makes of buses, they have a nasty nature they hate people riding in them and will do anything to get rid of them. Please note the make before getting on the bus.
January 28, 201610 yr "The bus lost control, overturned and fell into the side the highway." the bus lost control? again, a Thai bus driver was driving too fast for current conditions. something every fifteen year kid in the USA knows when studying drivers education for your first license: Speed Limits "Basic Speed Law." This law means that you may never drive faster than is safe for current conditions. For example, if you are driving 45 mph in a 55 mph speed zone during a dense fog, you could be cited for driving "too fast for conditions." Regardless of the posted speed limit, your speed should depend on: The number and speed of other vehicles on the road. Whether the road surface is smooth, rough, graveled, wet, dry, wide, or narrow. Bicyclists or pedestrians walking on the road’s edge or crossing the street. Whether it is raining, foggy, snowing, windy, or dusty. Edited January 28, 201610 yr by NCC1701A
January 28, 201610 yr This is becoming a weekly event and it seems that the overnight buses traveling long distance are particularly dangerous
January 29, 201610 yr They must have all gone to the temple that day as there have been some very bad outcomes involving buses in crashes up around Chiang Rai lately! Very lucky and thank God no one seriously injured or killed..hope they all recover soon!
January 29, 201610 yr adverse camber conditions can cause vehicles to leave the road and wet conditions can cause problems if the vehicle is travelling too fast .
January 29, 201610 yr That road between Phrae and Nan is scenic and fun to drive. A bit Like a rollercoaster ride....
