Maybe mathematicians and surveyors could help me out here. Surely there must be some simple trigonometrical standard formula agreed to by the UN to sort out these island disputes.
How much of the claimants' coastline is directly exposed to and distance from disputed islands. Then based on the formula chart claimants' relative % ownership of any resources found there.
Agreed it gets complicated when you throw into the mix historcal claims and the wishes of and the length of time any inhabitants have been living there. But the mathematically it should be simple.
