Does anyone know what happens if you apply for your visa extension early?

For example, if I went down to the Immigration Office a week early (before my 60 day stamp expires), do they stamp you from the day you apply, or from the expiration of your current stamp.

Believe the rule is unchanged:

tourist visa extension from day of application

non-imm: extension from day of expiration.

@ Axel

I think it's the other way:

Tourist visa from the day of expiration!

I'm sure because I made it many times (I always went 1 week before expiration).

Thank you Tinu. I thought I'd head down about a week early just in case I get that dreaded 7 day stamp to get out, and would have more time to plan ahead. You just never know what these Immigration Officers are going to do.

My girlfriend (Filipino) and I just received 30 day extensions today.

They date the extension from the expiry date of your stamp, so you can go as early as you like.
