Rajab Al Zarahni
In comparison to the Indian restaurants back in the UK, all the ones I have tried here have been a grave disappointment.
Jingthing
In that central area, I would suggest: http://madrasdarbar.com/ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293919-d1504592-Reviews-Madras_Darbar-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html It's directly across the street from Pattaya Central Beach mall, 2nd road, one of three Indian restaurants there. However, the best Indian restaurant in the area and one of the best in Thailand is in Jomtien: http://www.indian-by-nature.com http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293919-d1992613-Reviews-Indian_By_Nature-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html It's expensive. A lot of Brits seem to like Tikka Center (Soi Buakow) http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293919-d3186616-Reviews-Tikka_Center-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html I don't. (Tastes vary.) KittenKong
^^ I know you are limited by bahtbus routes but have you tried Indian Roots out by the lake? If not you should try and find someone to give you a lift out there. And use Eatigo. I think it is probably on a par with Indian by Nature, though very different. stoffel45
Most of the "Indian" Restaurants in Pattaya are those fit to please the English Saturday night take away types. Now if you want a really delicious meal, served in lovely surroundings then may I recommend "Indian by Nature". It's up on Thap Phraya Hill on the way to Jom Thien. It is excellent in every way and later, you may well compare every Indian Restaurant you visit to its splendour. Perhaps you may comment, "No this "Indian" Restaurant on the Edgeware Road isn't a spot on the quality of Indian by Nature in Pattaya." Indian by Nature, You can book - 038 364 656 or check out the menu at [email protected] Enjoy.
JB300
There's a nice Indian restaurant (more like a cafe than formal restaurant) around the corner from Papagayo go-go (there's a small walkway with restaurants on both sides, good steakhouse there also), can't remember what it's called but it's more of an authentic Indian place than the British takeaway type. I think you mean Little India restaurant. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293919-d7910272-Reviews-Little_India_Restaurant-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html I've never been. A very long time cook there is now at a new place called MOTI RANI nearby on 2nd road which I mentioned before on the old "Hit and Run" -- http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/608166-the-hit-and-run-restaurant-review-thread/page-54#entry10282854 Edited February 7, 2016 by Jingthing
Lucifer
Try Royal Masala Restaurant. Walk down Beach road towards walking street. Before you go into walking street turn left (no choice). Get to the cross roads and turn right. Cross the road and walk about 400 yards. Second best place after Indian by nature, and far cheaper.
