I wish to apply for a single entry 3 month Thai visa here in HCMC.

Is it an easy process here?

Will they need proof of both flights in and out of Thailand or just proof of travel in to Thailand?

I am merely a backpacker wanting to spend about 3 months back in Thailand.

Do I need to pay for this in USD or is VND ok?

Also, I assume I have to fill out the Visa application form before I head to the consulate, or can everything be done at the consulate?

far better to obtain letter of approval online. Obtain that via email and download application form fill in attach photo. Jump in queue on arrival , easy process.

OK so I have just got back from the consulate here in HCMC. Everything went well and I will have my Visa tomorrow they said, between 1.30 - 3.00 (PM).

My flight to Bangkok is for the 19th of February as I was not expecting the process to be so quick.

I want to change my flight to tomorrow instead. My question is, when does my Visa begin? Does it begin on the 19th as first shown on my flight ticket that they needed to see today, or does it begin from tomorrow onwards?

All Thai visas "run" from the date of issue not the date of first use.

Ok, so as I am getting my Visa tomorrow, it will start running from tomorrow? I just need to be 100% sure so I know I can change my flight

You visa will be valid for 3 months form the date of issue. You can make your trip tomorrow.
