February 16, 201610 yr Term deposit in Thailand? Yes. I had and have multiple of those and used the accounts for extension at immigration. Even got tax returned last year. Easy process at Thai revenue service.

Currently rates are not overwhelming though i too use fixed term accs.for the last 6yrs.of extensions.i try and fix it for a term that takes me past the extension date each time.if your not going to use it,you will find it quite easy.
