I know you are an enthusiastic no experience diy-er as I have replied to most of your build questions along the way so I will go easy.

First thing though for getting the best advice is to give as much info as you can.

I am already asking myself, is this a sliding wardrobe door, is it just a room partitioning door or is it a patio type door leading onto a balcony.

I seem to recall answering a similar question before. is it you who has an opening but the room is too tight to have an opening door?

Ok I will assume firstly a wardrobe door:

A sliding door can be very expensive if you use the robe manufacturers and their products, so like me; how to do on the cheap. you need 3 doors, just cheap HDF pressed panel doors at 550/700bt each.

Just paint them they look great. any door supplier Global, Home Pro; Suksawad. you also need a couple or 3 track top and bottom and you need a set of sliding door gear (wheels/hangers) you can get these at every store home pro; Tor home, Home Sukkapan, Home expert, nopadom, suksawad. the door gear is not cheap; the better quality is made by Hafele or Modernform and will cost circa 1500bt for 3 doors, the track costs vary subject to length but I think 700bt will get you a 3m track.(a hafele one)

If you are letting your condo then for the future the only likely replacement would be a cheap door.

Maybe you want a patio type door.

The cheapest way is to get an aluminium made to measure patio door. many roadside ally window makers. for 2mx2m expect to be quoted around 8k, but of course they always price for fitting, siliconing, job done etc.

But I know you are so keen to do yourself so: go to Global and pick up one of their off the shelf pvc patio doors. you are lucky, becasue 2m x2.05 is a standard size they produce. I went looking for one 1.5m wide, and was gutted to find their standard size was 1.6m wide.

So: Rakang Plastic (the manufacturer) sliding patio 2.0m wide 2.05 high is 7725bt in white or 7695bt in brown. A much better product is Globals Truststand EZY from Aus(very good quality) in aluminium 1.8w x 2.14h is 9000bt in white. not quite your size but a bit of ingenious timber packers each side and you could manage.

Geez; I hope you dont want the room partition option because then i need to tell you about slding doors again or folding doors.

Hope there are some ideas above for you to play with, but my first option is the cheapest but of course involves more buggeration as is always the case.

Global House have 2-panel glass sliders c/w frame designed for shower enclosures but could be adapted to another purpose with suitable glass replacement or vinyl covering.

A good curtain shop can sell you a hanging sliding pvc curtain/door which we use to keep the cold air-con air or hot heater air from going out of our living room to the kitchen.and the rest of the house.

Paid 7000 bath include installing for a 4 bij 2 1/2 meter.screen.

It is for a bedroom entrance.

A partition wall was built to make the room. Floor to ceiling. The space for the door is also floor to ceiling, ie, there isn't any 'wall' going across the top of where the door would go, it is just a large open space, about 205cm high (floor to ceiling) and about 150-200cm wide.

We will put aircon in there, so need some type of door. I think that a slider door from floor to ceiling would be better than trying to get a door and frame and wall built to fill the space.

We don't live in CM, and visit sporadically, so not the easiest to get things done when we don't know the area very well.

We're coming for a week in the beginning of March so want to get it done then.

a ceiling at 205 cm? You have to sit down first to be able to take off a t-shirt.

It's an up stairs duplex. This part is the upperlevel under the roof.

But that does sound wrong. Will need to measure again.

One doesn't need to sit to take off a t-shirt, haha.

Spotted a decorative sliding door system in Baan&Beyond which would suit room partitioning - adjacent the alumin. window and wood door section of store.

Ordered one of these.

Cheap, easy, and should help keep the aircon in, somewhat.
