Anyone know of good guides to what's near MRT stations?

I'm interested in exploring the neighborhoods around the MRT stations. But the only guides I've found online either lack detail or list only the usual suspects: big mall/night market, etc. I'm interested in interesting places of all kinds: odd shops, museums, bookstores, shrines, gardens, libraries, houses, pleasant quiet places for a walk, etc.

Can anyone advise pls? Thanks.
