Fever pitch: Over 8,000 cases of dengue in Thailand so far this year
By Coconuts Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- More than 8,000 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Thailand in the last two months, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

A total of 8,651 people have been infected this year with dengue fever, resulting in one death.

Health officials say this puts Thailand on track to have an infection rate as severe as that of 2013, when more than 150,000 people were diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease.

Wonder how TAT will spend this stat as a positive thing because nothing can hold down Thailand tourism according to TAT releases.

I thought I read that Thailand had made a vaccine for Dengue Fever? Am I wrong?

"Don't worry! Thai mosquitoes don't bite- they just want to play!"

It really makes me laugh, you see at night many Thais still in there shorts after dark then they wonder why they are sick

Are you saying the mosquitoes that bite during the day don't carry the dengue disease or are you not aware that they are more than two different types? The Aedis aegypti mosquitoes that are around in the daytime are the ones that spread dengue not the nightime predators. Do a bit of research before posting.

YES you are wrong !

NO such claim was ever made except by you.

What is TRUE is that the Thai authorities are in the process of approving/evaluating the only vaccine available, Dengvaxia, made by Sanofi Pasteur, for use in Thailand.

Ignorance can be alleviated by opening and reading the content of the link
