Wrong Turn
I've traveled to other SEA countries, but want to visit the Philippines. It'll be my first time. I want to go to Angeles City (AC) for a couple of days and then northward. How do I get to AC from the Manila International aiport? Is there is private shuttle or private bus service? I'm only asking b/c Manila has a reputation as being a rough place and I'll be a newbie. Thanks in advance.

craigt3365
Traffic is terrible. Be prepared for a long drive. Angeles City is a dump, but I'm sure you already know that. Much better places in the PI to explore!
keeniau96
Angeles City not really much of a place to be. Better off to go to Manica, check out the sights there (2-3 days), then head north for the views of country life, return back via Baguio then Manila and the southernmost centering on Batangas for great beaches and Scuba. Get PH guidebook and enjoy the place.
Wrong Turn
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I've done my research and I will see Baguio and other places. This time I don't have more than 7-8 days unfortunately. Thanks, all.

Smokin Joe
If you want picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel Margarita Station (formerly Margaritaville) does airport pickup and drop off. This would be convenient for a first time visitor to Angeles City. Their website has a lot of other useful Angeles info also. Manila is probably the worst airport in Asia. Don't expect anything like BKK. No International ATM's at the terminal either. http://www.margaritastation.com
gojdthai2016
if you want to go to dumpy angeles take a short walk out of the airport then get a taxi meter and ask to go to bus terminal 5 star it is about 15 mins and should cost about 150 peso, from there take bus to dau which is bus station in angeles this ride will take about 75 mins and cost about 140 peso,,,this is the cheapest way

krystian
There are public buses that will take you to from the airport to local bus terminal in Pasay City, from there you can take the bus to Angeles City. http://pinoythaiyo.com/2015/10/08/victory-liner-hm-transport-to-start-transporting-passengers-to-four-naia-terminals/
