Sandy Freckle
I'm rather interested in travelling southwards from Southern Laos down into Cambodia..., obviously bypassing the various waterfalls. Can anyone provide current info regarding various methods of land, or a practical combination of land and river travel in this area ? Some years ago there was talk of a new road(paving?) from the general area of Si Phan Don/Don Det, southwards and crossing the border into Cambodia. Has this happened and Is there an 'open' border crossing in Southern Laos ?Also, once into northern Cambodia, is travelling on the Mekong possible all year round, down to PP...., any suggestions and info is most welcome?ThanksSandy Edited March 8, 2016 by Sandy Freckle
thecyclist
No idea about water travel , but I bicycled from Don Det across the border to Stung Treng and on to PP 10 years ago. Back then it was a decent dirt road.Probably paved by now
