BANGKOK, 11 March 2016 (NNT) – The public relations committee of the Chao Phraya River Coast Development Project has resolved to utilize radio, television and print media to create understanding of the project to ensure its success.

At a meeting of the public relations committee held at the Office of the Prime Minister’s Permanent Secretary chaired by PM’s Office Permanent Secretary Pol Gen Aek Angsananont and attended by representatives of the Ministry of Interior, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Royal Thai Army and Radio Thailand, the body discussed ways to ensure the public has a clear and accurate understanding of the program to develop the Chao Phraya River.

The meeting was called after those affected by the undertaking filed requests for it to be reconsidered. The body resolved to take in more feedback from the public and to ensure that the beautification of the area does not impact any culturally significant sites. They also affirmed that the development must lead to benefit for the public and that any affected receive reparations.

The committee also decided that it must better utilize radio, television and print media to create understanding. On radio and television, committee members will create scoops and engage in panel discussions.
