Pattaya turns Irish at St. Patrick’s Day parade March 17

PATTAYA:--Just as everyone is Chinese for the Lunar New Year, everybody is Irish for St. Patrick’s Day which will be celebrated again in Pattaya with the sixth-annual parade and shows.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and Father Ray Foundation Vice President Rev. Michael Picharn Jaiseri announced details for the March 17 festivities at a press conference at Central Festival Pattaya Beach March 1.

Stage performances will kick off the event at 3:30 p.m. outside the Alcazar Theater. There will be a performances by the Yotawatit Military Band and Irish groups, a beer-drinking contest and dances from the Alcazar cabaret performers.
