Are there any pet shops in the Chainat area. I'm over in Thailand next month and would like to buy a puppy or young dog.

There's no shortage of rescued dogs available in Thailand. Check out Soi Dogs .. or Google dog rescue Thailand.

When you say you're going to be here next month, I hope that means you'll be making it your home and the dog's home for the long term rather than a "cute gift " for some girl who has no real interest in looking after a dog.

If you're looking for a specific breed of dog it's best to try to find a breeder and contact them direct. I live about 50 kilometers from Chainat, a hop, skip and jump since it's the closest Tesco, and am not aware of any "pet shops" There is a vet on the south east corner of the junction of highway 1 and 340 that sometimes has adds posted from local people who have puppies for sale or you could ask him.

Adopt, don't shop.
