March 21, 201610 yr I think there are a few posters out there with a kindle reader and just thought I'd pass this on as I was sent this article about updating your older kindle software now http://www.theverge.com/2016/3/20/11271880/amazon-kindle-emergency-update-unable-to-connect-at-this-time Just to note you can do the update later manually but if you want to do it the easy way best to have a look at the Amazon pagehttp://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=help_search_1-6?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201994710&qid=1458317761&sr=1-6 for info on how to auto update. Cheers, Bob
March 21, 201610 yr Thanks. I saw that a couple of days ago and did the update. The instructions say to connect overnight, but when I did it my Kindle updated almost immediately with no problems.
June 13, 201610 yr I very much enjoyed my Kindle Fire. It only lasted a/b 1.5 years however before it stop responding. I contacted Kindle in Khonkaen... what a waste of time that was. Other shops claim not knowing how to fix the touch pad. :-(
