Does anybody have any insight into the tarmac project around Bophut/Maenam that seems to start and then suddenly stop.

Will they ever finish the road and make it a bit more pleasant to drive on, or will it be left for another 5 years before anything is done.

I think as the finish the drain work and sidewalks, they are working on it seven days a week, they will finish the tarmac in worthwhile sections...

They did a good section last week...

If it was on the mainland.. Surat Thani ... it would have been finished months ago as would the whole ring road .

I have just driven to Hua Hin today and major sections of the dual carriage way are closed due to resurfacing ... adds about an hour to the journey ....and some really crazy driving on the slower sections .. we passed 3 accidents on the way .
