After terror in Belgium, Phuket Airport security maintained, flights unaffected

PHUKET: -- No flights in or out of Phuket have been affected in the outfall of the terror attacks in Belgium today (Mar 22), while security at Phuket International Airport remains at “Level 3 Plus”.

“At Security Level 4, the airport is closed,” Phuket International Airport Director Monrudee Gettuphan told The Phuket News.

“We have been at Security Level 3 Plus since the Erawan Shrine bombing. Regardless, we are looking at heightening security checks at the vehicle entrance to airport,” she added.

The main terminal at the airport already has scanners in place at all entry doorways, Ms Monrudee added.

I wonder if anyone has checked to see if they are working or knows how to operate them.
