willyumiii
I have a friend visiting from California next week and he just told me he wants to stay in the best hotel available in the Korat area when he is here. I live on a budget and always stay in Korat hotels in the 500-600 baht per night range and I know nothing about "the best " Hotels in town. I do not think he is worried about cost. Do you have any recommendations / reviews of the "good ones"? Thanks!

2fishin2
I have stayed at many different hotels in Korat over the years. Best hotel there hands down is the Dusit. Cheap, friendly staff and decent buffets.

Bredbury Blue
Easily the Dusit Princess...and not so expensive. Stayed a couple of times in the past 2 years. As good as you'll get there and definitely a decent BKK standard. Great comfy rooms. Fantastic breakfast (lovely coffee from the help yourself coffee machine). Pool isn't that great. 2 minutes walk back towards khorat centre there's a decent seafood restaurant.
Jessi
Dusit is best by far. Sima Thani has been run down and needs to be re furbished.
Bredbury Blue
We always used to stay Sima Thani and 2-3 years ago tried Dusit for the first time; realised we should always have stayed at Dusit. Its now a definite stop off on the way to the inlaws in isaan for us.
