BANGKOK:-- Police gave chase after a pickup stopped then took off as officers at a checkpoint attempted to look inside. Two men managed to get away but the truck was discovered later along with 300,000 tablets of ya ba, reports Thaivisa News.

The drama happened when police set up a "crime prevention" checkpoint near the entrance to Ram Inthra Soi 66 on Wednesday evening. They saw a black Toyota Hilux approach and became suspicious stopping the vehicle and its two male occupants, the driver aged in his 30s.

But as they began questioning the men the driver revved the engine and dashed off making a u-turn in the distance before heading for Pathum Thani. Officers gave chase at a distance and eventually found the truck north of Bangkok on the hard shoulder, minus the driver and passenger.

In the truck they discovered the drugs plus a driving licence in the name of Wichanchai Srikokpho, 39, 4,000 in cash, an ATM card and a phone. The vehicle had a Kamphaengphet licence plate.

The hunt for the men continues.

How hard it can be now to get them???

They'll be wanting their pills and truck back so I expect they will turn up soon asking for them back and how much do they need to pay.

Non Story. No Thai person would do this.

And the criminals will never be found. Not enough evidence, me thinks.

And I was already wondering where my delivery is............facepalm.gif

Wouldn't you throw the god damned drugs away before the coppers find them?

Oh, it's also called common sense, but they don't teach that at school. Innocent.

.....for foreigners it's a 'drug ring'......

...in this case.....'nobody'.....???

Pathumthani has been in the news a lot recently.

-a woman takes a family hostage with a knife

-a young girl is left home alone for 3 days and is beaten by her parents.

-an ex convict shoots at police and rams his car then is tracked by helicopter and later arrested.

-a taxi driver robs two Chinese tourists.

And now this!

This province needs help!!!

Enjoy.

Found a driver's license? Either a planted stolen license or one of the two are complete idiots. Think it may be the latter.

Makes sense. Your news would suggest this town will miss its haul of ya-bah
