Why 7-11 don't sell Slurpee and hot-dogs anymore?

Featured Replies

I never really noticed it since i've been out of Thailand for some time but it seems 7-11 doesn't sell Slurpee's anymore or that 20 baht hotdogs which were really great(you could choose to put ketchup, mayonesse, salad, cucmber etc.).Anyone knows a reason why did they decided not to sell it anymore? I doubt that it was because of profit issue, those things sold great(at least i think they did).Well, nowadays at least you can get hotdog from refrigerator for 20-25 baht but not being able to buy Slurpee is a disappointment

Slurpee

They have Slurpees in two of the stores close to me....Not all stores have the machines.....

Hot Dogs - dunno - don't eat them...

They do , at least all along Phaholyothin

The several 7-11s where I used to get Slurpees don't have the machines any more. Pity, great in the hot season except for the brain freezes.

7/11 is going healthy. It's business plan for the next 5 years is to phase out all products which contain salt, sugar and hydrogenated fats.

And Macca's is going vegan and will launch next year a global rebranding as McDharma's.

i always enjoyed good hard slurpee when in thailand

So in 5 years there will be empty shops biggrin.png

Maybe a question you should should put to 7/11s head office rather ?....as don't think anyone one here works for them

just a thought ...

i always enjoyed good hard slurpee when in thailand

I bet you did...

Maybe 7-11 saw how hideously obese other countries became and decided they wouldn't do that to their own citizens?

only problem after a slurpee, it took 2 large bottles of beer to remove the taste.

Don't be a cynic. Corporate social responsibility is on the national agenda in Thailand as the main reform priority after education.

did you swallow or spit ?

spit? never, what a waste of a 7-11 slurpee.

you are a heathen sir

the hotdog i heard it had to do with people taking 100b worth of condiment home everytime they went in.

Even myself, id get a small bag and fill it to the top with cucumbers.

I used to get a hot dog , squeeze of ketchup down one side of the sausage, squeeze of mustard down the otherside, quite a lot of onions, then quite a lot of tomato on top of that and then a another squeeze of ketchup and mustard on top of that .

It did quite often get messy

My local 7-11s both sell hotdogs, I don't eat them much, but they are good.

You are a bit early. Two days to go yet till April 1st.

Oh dear!

Now look at my finger and follow it with your eyes. Yes, I can see the problem. Delayed dementia.

:) (joking)

i think they found yanks leaving dollar low and face

and chiness dont like only sell mama

7 Eleven never sold hotdogs. Flour with taste and coloring agent pressed in the shape of a sausage in a clammy bun that's beyond disgusting has nothing to do with a hotdog.

I miss the Philippines.

I think you're wrong about that. When I enter the local 7/11 after 7pm i will guaranteed meet at least 15 Chinese inside with in one hand a Mama and the other hand a slurpee.

Are the hotdogs gone? I need to take a beer for that one. Thai 7/11 hotdogs are terrible. Utterly awful. I really hope they will be gone for good, erased from history and forgotten like it never happened.

I don't know anyone that didn't "stock up" on the veggies, myself included whistling.gif

My local 7/11's sell both.

Disgusting thread.

Only a loser would purchase and consume a hot dog from 7-11. It is a disgusting garbage product.

Only a serial loser would take extra condiments from a 7-11.

Seriously, who steals cucumbers or ketchup? It's a few baht at Tescos, ok.

More high quality foreigners…………..

Must be many millions of Thai losers then, because the product is sold on all 8600 7/11 in Thailand, and I do believe they mainly cater to Thais.

So they're only going to sell toothpaste and soap then. :P

Their owned by the CP Food Group, so I doubt their going healthy. Are you from the Nanny State of NY, USA?
