Axl Rose for AC/DC rumours look true after Guns N'Roses singer seen leaving the band's studio

What seemed little more more than half-baked social media tattle about AC/DC last week now has an alarming ring of truth: Axl Rose could well be the band's replacement for Brian Johnson.

On Monday celebrity news website TMZ.com published photos of the Guns N'Roses frontman and the AC/DC band members leaving what is clearly the same Atlanta rehearsal studio.

TMZ then felt confident enough to report: "Axl was at a rehearsal studio in Atlanta with Angus Young and co. on Friday ... maybe running through the classics, maybe finalizing a deal."

This would be a great match. Not as good as the original but exciting none the less.

While I suppose it's possible, isn't it just as likely that it's a tribute album to Brian Johnson? A handful of singers come in and cover 1-15 songs.

Now that to me would be a mistake. I'll give it six months before Axel does a flounce.

Have seen a couple of DC tribute bands in the UK with excellent Bon Scott sounding singers. That is where I would be looking.

Altogether now:"..........

IM A PROBLEM CHILD"........

Axl Rose is a flake. Tim "Ripper" Owens would be a better sub.

Good luck for AC/DC band members, dealing with this nut. I loved GNR, but ....... he is crazy.

Nice. "For those about to rock, we salute you". I'll put out my dosh to take that show in for sure.

Uggh, Axl really ?

Anthony "Skenie" Skene from The Poor would be a better choice, sings hard Aussie rock and is an Aussie.

Horrible idea. Axl Rose, that is. As Francis Rossi said: "If that man's a singer then so am I".

Joel O'Keeffe from Airbourne would certainly be a good stand in For Brian Johnson. Their sound is very similar

Ohhh. not heard of Airbourne, they are pretty good. thanks for the heads up.

Not a great pic. Not a bad pic. Let's see what happens. Give the guy a try.

No...they were touring when Brian Johnson was told he would totally lose his hearing unless he stopped. The band has postponed, not canceled, the tour and has been in search of a replacement front man. Read somewhere where BJ alluded to 'being kicked to the curb'.

Personally, voice and showmanship wise, cannot imagine a better choice than Axl. Until he goes off the rails...
