Dear Friends,

I am staying in Thailand for a long period, and I have 2 passports: UK and Israel.

On my Israeli passport: 3 Tourist visas (2014- July 2015) with a stamp warning that in the future I might be rejected. On the UK passport 1 tourist visa (July 2013), and 2 Visa exempt from Bangkok airport.

I’m now in Israel and I plan to return to Thailand. I deliberate if to make a new Israeli passport, or to wait with it for my next visit to Israel in about 1 year.

(I'm working on the internet, but at the moment I can't get a working permit.)

Thanks in advance for your help!

What exactly are you asking ?

Simply use the UK passport it affords you more freedom of travel than an Israeli one surely.

Make a new passport next year.

If your UK passport has enough validity left I think I would use it. It has the advantage of getting 30 day visa exempt entries at border crossings and you could easily enter Malaysia if you wanted to.

I guess my question is: Is my Israeli passport completely used for new Tourist Visas into Thailand? On this passport I have 4 Tourist Visas: December 2013 (Double entry), June 2014, Septermber 2014, December 2014 (Double entry, with two stamps: ā€œThe holder of thi pasport travels to Thailand under a tourist visa everal times which may result in the refusal of a visa in the futureā€ and ā€œProofs of residence in Thailand & financial income are required next timeā€).

perhaps, Since my last visa on the Israeli passport was done during December 2014, by Jan 2017 I will be able to make a new visa on this passport?

Thanks in advance !!

I suspect the stamp you got was from Vientiane. Other consulates would issue a visa even with that stamp. I think Vientiane would issue a single entry visa since it has been a long time since you got a visa there.

If possible you should try to get the new multiple entry tourist visa (METV) in Israel. It is valid for 6 months and allows unlimited 60 day entries. You can get almost 9 months of total stay from it by getting a new 60 day entry just before the visa expires and then getting a 30 day extension of it.

Thanks Ubonjoe!

You are right. The stamps are from Vientiane.

1. So the best Tourist Visa option is Multiple entry. Do you know, more or less, in which consulates they issue it?

2. So after receiving a few visas the consulate in Vientiane stamped the Visa/passport. If I would apply for a visa in a different consulate,(lets say Savannakhet) I guess I can I just get more and more new Tourist visas?

3. If I understand correct, my Israeli passport is not invalid for new tourist visas. I just need a long enough period of break before I can issue a new visa on it.

Thanks in advance for helping.

1. METV's generally are only being issued to people who a apply at a Thai embassy or consulate in their home country or one of legal residence. Info is here on Tel Aviv embassy website: http://www.thaiembassy.org/telaviv/en/services/5737

2. You could get one in Savannakhet now. With a recent stamp from Vientiane the consulate in Savannakhet might not do one.

3, Yes You could swap passports when traveling by air and apply at different locations to get visas. For example you could be here using your Israeli passport and fly to Penang Malaysia and enter Malaysia using your UK passport to apply for a tourist visa at the consulate there.

After reading the new visa rules, I don't think I will apply for a new multiple entry visa. Did they cancel the double entry visa issued in Israel? Did they cancel it in other countries as well?

Only single entry or the new METV are now available fromThai Embassy's/Consulates.

The "old" double/triple entry tourist visa are no longer issued anywhere.
