A brothel disguised as a massage parlor was raided by Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police on Tuesday night in Kandal province’s Ang Snoul district, with authorities arresting the owner and rescuing nine women, according to officials.

Cheum Vanny, a deputy police chief in Kandal province said the raid was carried out around 10 pm on in Ang Snoul district’s Bek Chhan commune, with local police collaborating with Anti-Human Trafficking authorities.

The owner of the establishment, 41-year-old Pich Mach, was arrested, and the nine women who were being used as sex workers were freed, according to Long Chhayeng deputy district police chief.
