I need advice for a friend of mine coming over later.

He's having a week in Pattaya then moving to Koh Chang for a week.

I've been told he can get to Koh Chang from Pattaya, I wonder if you can verify that he can get to Koh Chang from Pattaya by bus.

I live between Bang Saen and Ang Sila so I've no idea if this can be done, when I've gone there I've always gone to Ekamai and got the bus to Laem Ngop from there.

You can catch the bus to Trat on Sukhumvit Road. It stops 15 km before Trat where you can get a song-thew to the ferry pier, but the wait can be as long as an hour.

Best option is a minibus, it's door to door. I recommend the 49 group.

Sorry, it's actually the 35 group, not the 49 group. I have their card, the number is 084-9464447. They pick you up at your hotel.

Did the trip 3 years ago.

Booked it at the tourism information next to the northern bus terminal.

The minivan showed up 2 hours after booking and went directly to the ferry pier for Kho Chang.

I think it's 600, you may pay a 50 baht commission if you book through a travel agent
