I haven't been here in a while, but good to see the level of activities. I am planning to visit Surin soon and one of my friend told me about a bar called Namor(?). I think mostly Thais go there only. I heard it has a band, outside seating and caters to younger crowd. I'm youngish, so hopefully I won't get kicked out

I also heard that there is another part of the bar, which has "hostess bar" where girls in sexy dress come sit, pour drinks and talk to you, like in Korea and Japan?

Any information on this bar, especially the hostess bar information would be appreciated. They only seem to have a Facebook page. Also, I can't find the address nor the phone number from here in US, so any information on that would be greatly appreciated.

ive heard some bars like this around central bus staion area, will be very easy to find im sure, might be heading up that way myself soon so will be looking some fem company for a couple nights .

On a separate note... What can be expected inside of a Thai (caters to Thais) hostess bars? Is it more like in Japan, where it's mostly just drinking and talking, or like some KTV bars in Singapore, where more are expected from the girls?

Pick a Pattaya price and triple it. They are scared of Farangs so price themselves out of the market.

Don't bother unless you want to try one of the two Surin 'Fish Bowls'.

Thank you for the reply. I guess my question is this... These hostess bars in Thailand where there are private rooms like in Japan and Korea Room Salons... Where girls wear sexy dress and pour drinks and talk to Thai customers (only)... Are they expected to leave with the customers if asked? Paid? Or is it relatively innocent? I'm a Thai American who has never been to one of these places... If anyone knows, please let me know. Thank you.

Yes they do do 'take always' but in some of the less 'touristy' areas, the prices are silly in the entertainment areas like 'Soi Kola' in Surin (for example.

You mention that your going there so I'd suggest trying Tawan Deang thai Rock club then Speed Disco before you resort to the 'Kareoke's' down Soi Kola.

If you speak Thai and are young, or perhaps not so young, you can probably have a really good time in Taean Deang, even if you don't speak Thai, it can be fun.
