NAKHON SAWAN:-- Relatives of the man who stabbed another in the middle of a Nakhon Sawan municipal office told police yesterday they would bring him in in two or three days.

Meanwhile, claims on social media suggest there may be more to the matter than a simple disagreement over money.

The violent altercation between Sirichai Malaithong, the knifeman, and Nat Bunruang was caught on tape.

Mostly female members of the public tried to intervene as the fight ended with Nat nursing a wound to the ear dripping blood on the floor.

Sirichai escaped while Nat's wound required 24 stitches.

Nakorn Sawan police said that relatives of Sirichai had telephoned to say they they will bring him in in a few days. They were treating him for facial injuries sustained in the fight, they said.

Nat has told police that he was owed money by Sirichai and repeated requests to have it returned were denied. Whenever they met by chance trouble would break out.

Meanwhile a post on a public Facebook page claimed that the debt resulted from a deal to kill someone. The post has since been removed.

Investigations continue.

So after the stabbing he just left the building and went hiding on a place where nobody could find him?

Good that they have security at those governmental offices. I feel much safer there now.

Relatives ... told police yesterday they would bring him in in two or three days.

And this is ok with the police? Seriously?

Meanwhile, neither a lender nor a borrower be. That goes at least double in Thailand, where 'borrowed' money rarely gets paid back. Most Thais seem to think 'borrowed' money is a gift.

Indeedy, Wifey lent her sister some money to help in setting up her business. Loan was for 6 months. After 12 months, with no sign of repayment, she reminded her. Response was " are you so poor now you have to ask for your money back"?

Also, when you do "lend" money the gratitude lasts for about 30 seconds as opposed to a "gift" of money where the gratitude is the full 60.

Nail on the head. Pay to help the family out and wife can get a strop on immediately after. These days I no longer pay.
