webfact
Dam erosion damages homes in NonthaburiNONTHABURI, 13 April 2016 (NNT) – Erosion at a Chao Phraya River dam in Nonthaburi province has resulted in damage to riverside homes.Nonthaburi Governor Nisit Chansomwong traveled with civil engineers today to a dam in the province’s Pakkred municipality to inspect reported erosion. They found that up to 70 meters of the dam had fallen into the river and allowed water to damage 5 homes; 3 received major damage.Engineers have decided to rebuild the stretch of dam using support poles rather than the original sand piles that likely were the cause of the erosion.Pakkred Municipal authorities have been empowered to provide financial assistance to those whose homes were impacted by the situation.-- NNT 2016-04-

Even Da Vinci would be puzzled by this one.
