SAMUT SAKON: - A violent argument between two brothers left a man dead outside his house in Samut Sakon early Wednesday morning.

The younger brother claims that the older man attacked him with a knife in a drunken rage but fell on the weapon, piercing his chest and killing himself on the spot, Daily News reports.

Police, however, suspect that the younger brother is the knifeman and took him in for questioning.

A violent argument erupted in the Soi Wat Samakhitharam area of downtown Samut Sakon between Damnern Aeksang,50, and his brother Sonthipat Aeksang, 36. Police found the elder brother outside his house with a chest wound already dead.

The remains of a lao khao dinner were still evident in the house.

Sonthipat said: "There was indeed a violent argument but I didn't do it. He was drunk and having a go at me and other family members in a rage. He ran to attack me holding a knife, tripped and stabbed himself in the chest."

Police doubt his story and have taken Sonthipat in for further questioning.

i hate it when guns and knifes jump off the table and kill people.

Yeah, right.

Well, let's see. It was the way he was holding the knife, he was drunk, and he tripped over something on the floor. Yeah, perfectly plausible to me. whistling.gif

I would have thought a simple fingerprint test might help with who was holding the knife when it entered his chest. Of course the knife may have been wiped but a decent analyst will be able to tell if that is the case. Alternatively the easier approach is to attach some electrical cables to the youger brothers testicles until he decides to confess.

"Trust me, we're Thai."

Yes perfectly plausible. I had a friend who was at work and his wife at home with two small kids. She went out in the garden with a knife to cut some veggies, tripped, fell on the knife and bled to death leaving two small kiddies in the house.

My friend returned from work to find this horrific scene. Yes, plausible. But not my place to say if the Thai's story is true.

Yep, guns and knives just can't hold their liquor.

And the other family members according to the story are where?
