pgrahmm
Happen to be in Kamphaeng Phet & Songkran here is in full swing as we're meandering towards Swampy.... Families having picnics unmolested...Loud music.....People dancing in the streets dousing & dabbing each other....A river full of people just having a soaking good time....Kids going down a giant water slide into the river.....Plus the truckfulls of people in water wars with everybody they can find.... But at a nice Thai way of pace.... Much nicer than the frenzied forceful panic to chase a good time that we see in CM...... It's a much more pleasant celebration here..... mallyrd
You should try Songkhla if you want to experience a sensible Songkran.
sipi
I will embarrass myself and say that Khao San is still one of my favorite places to play Songkran for a few hours with the tourists. We were in Chiang Mai once and I wasn't impressed. The village is ok, but a bit boring.
