KhunBENQ
yes. no problem. Biggest "hurdle": getting a proof of residence accepted by DLT. And of course: cash payed.

recom273
Good policy .. If you can get a certificate of residency from immigration - then it's no problem. Where u staying, what lease do you have and what visa ? Then we can give you better advice.
colinneil
If you have a yellow book easy, resident cert from immigration accepted at some places.

I agree there might be hurdles but to answer the OP's question the answer is Yes. Did not want to oppose that. Of course yes for motorcycles and cars. The car is my name: In 2011 (just five months after arriving in Thailand) I went to the dealer with my wife to buy a car, cash on the desk. The not so enlightened staff wanted to make me believe it is not possible, have to put in my wife's name. Finally walked straight out of the shop. But! before we were to drive off they ran after us. "Talked to boss". Still it was a plethora of photocopies up to marriage certificate (!! ) even though I had a certificate of residence from Khon Kaen immi for the specific purpose. Silly,. Of course this was in upcountry. In Pattaya or Bangkok they are likely a bit more enlightened.
