June 5, 20169 yr Thank you for sharing, great shots and some beautiful scenery. Chiang Rai was on my list of places to visit, after seeing your photographs it has just moved up to the top of the list.
June 7, 20169 yr Author Popular Post It was raining when I got up and remained cloudy for a while but it ended up being a great day for a bike ride.
June 9, 20169 yr Author Popular Post My lovely wife had the bright idea to go for a drive along the Mekong River today. We stopped at a cute little coffee shop on the side of the road.
June 9, 20169 yr Author Popular Post Later we drove up a very steep road on the mountain above the coffee shop on the recommendation of the shop owner. Beautiful views of the Mekong looking back toward Chiang Khong.
June 11, 20169 yr Author Popular Post I am watching this guy grow several inches per day. It is now up to the roof so I may have to find a way up on to the roof to take a picture when it finally blooms.
June 11, 20169 yr Author Popular Post This is the second time I have seen this cactus bloom recently. The flowers don't last very long so you have to catch them in the morning.
June 12, 20169 yr Author Popular Post I was up at our local reservoir again today and thought I may as well take a couple of pictures.
June 17, 20169 yr Author Popular Post These are two shots taken a few months apart but at the same location. I put up with the first view so I can enjoy the last one.
June 17, 20169 yr I was up at our local reservoir again today and thought I may as well take a couple of pictures. I've photographed this location myself. I'd post pics, but I don't wish to hijack your thread.
June 17, 20169 yr @VF I've viewed your thread but haven't clicked the like button on each post, but I will say in words instead, I like your photos and what a lovely place/area you live in. Also please let T-Roa post his shot in that area if you will, you know the score, theres no competing here Peace...and when can I move in?
June 18, 20169 yr Author I was up at our local reservoir again today and thought I may as well take a couple of pictures. I've photographed this location myself. I'd post pics, but I don't wish to hijack your thread. Photographically our reservoir is different everyday so it would be interesting to see what you saw. I am also a little surprised that anyone else has been there as it is a very local sort of place.

They kind of lose there meaning if one feels obligated to like everything. Thanks for this more personal note.
June 18, 20169 yr Popular Post Thanks, @villagefarang ...yes, it's certainly NOT on the beaten path, but I like to explore, haha! Actually, I found it on whilst looking for areas of dark sky around Chiang Rai (there aren't many). The first image I made when I first went to scout the location. I arrived around noon, so the light is awful, but I love those submerged trees! The second image was actually my first attempt at astro-photography, and I made a lot of mistakes. I'll have to go back as I think I'd make a better job of it now.By the way, that glow on the horizon is light-pollution from the city of Chiang Rai some 35km distant. Luckily for you, it's almost imperceptible to the naked eye :-)
June 19, 20169 yr Author Popular Post Out on my bike today, crossing the Ing River on two different bridges.
June 27, 20169 yr Author Popular Post I wanted some exercise today but it was late and I didn’t feel sharp enough to be out on the bike, so I went for a walk. It was extremely hot but just too beautiful to stay indoors. Besides I absolutely love the clouds at this time of year.
July 1, 20169 yr Author ^^^^^ Have you used a polarizer on them last 3 shots? No polarizer, just shot them with my old NEX-6. I did cook them in Apple’s Photos on my iMac before serving them up, though.
July 1, 20169 yr Author Is that post mavericks? What OS are you using? I am using OS X El Capitan (Beta) on a Retina 5K 27-inch display from late 2014.
July 1, 20169 yr Author Popular Post It is pouring down rain at the moment but I managed to get a shot before it hit.
July 7, 20169 yr Author Popular Post Walking the dogs and enjoying the evening sky, as usual. Taken with my iPhone.
July 15, 20169 yr Author Popular Post Lots of activity in the fields these days. Everyone is rushing to get their rice planted and I am guessing they will be finished by the time our friends arrive on Monday. The feeding area for the birds is shrinking by the day. The open billed stork is so graceful in flight and I will miss seeing them everyday.
July 17, 20169 yr VF you posted a shot some years ago that was a total green landscape with a clay road running through it (you took it from the roadside) Post that again please, was one of the most memorable shots I've seen on here.
