Road Accidents

Featured Replies

Today I saw a motorbike fall into a hole submerged in water - luckily nobody hurt .

How many accidents are caused like this through no fault of the rider , surely the Police , Tesse Bahn should take more responsibility .

Motorcyclist's fault - he saw a puddle in front of him and went through it not knowing the depth.

That would be Thai logic. :o:D

Some great holes in bophut. There is this giant skid mark looking one, it started with some colapsed pavement and has since spread and also deepend. Saw a guy hit it a wreck pretty bad. Id imagine at least 1 person dies a night on this stretch.

A few months ago, I saw a guy carrying his helmet in the front basket of his Honda. He went over a bump and the helmet fell onto the road. A woman with a small child riding another motorbike ran over the helmet. The front wheel struck it at an odd angle and she lost control of the motorbike. She (wore helmet) and the child (no helmet) went down hard. Both taken away by an ambulance. The owner of the helmet in the road ran off before anyone could do anything.

And, yes, I can't count how many times I saw people have helmets fall out of their front basket and cause a road hazzard for others.

Not just Thai logic but all logic. The motorcyclist was in charge of the machine. There was a hazard in front of him but he decided to ignore it and crashed. Who else can you blame?

I blame the incompetant people who left the hole there unmarked and unfiled for weeks and weeks.

Farang thinking. Dont worry I do it all the time. T I T This Is Thailand.

We are living in a totally law less island, traffic wise where any one can do what they want with no problem. No helmets , 5 up on a bike , kids of 10 on motorbikes, cut corners, drive on the wrong side of the road, carry TVs , furniture, 20 meter coconut poles, dogs ,babies and any thing else.

Mai Pen Rai. :D:D

...and where in the heck should we file these offending holes? Under "O"? :o
