Samui hospital to open emergency medical centres at tourist attractions

SURAT THANI, 26 April 2016 (NNT) – Koh Samui Hospital will be setting up emergency medical centres at marine tourism attractions throughout the island, to provide swift response services to emergency situations that may arise.

Koh Samui Hospital Director Theerasak Wiriyanon has revealed that the hospital is ready to become a leading emergency medical service provider in marine tourism areas, providing better services to patients and tourists who could be affected from incidents at sea.

He states that all staff at Koh Samui Hospital are well trained to handle emergency cases.

According to Ko Samui Hospital director, the emergency medical system in Thailand has been greatly enhanced from the Emergency Medicine Act BE 2551, which mandates that emergency medical services must be made available to the general public, with a concentration on service quality and efficiency.
