Burglar Dies From Shock After Surprised by Pattaya Police Officer

PATTAYA: -- At 6:30 PM on Wednesday 27th April a burglar received the shock of his life when his hiding place turned out to be less than suitable.

Police Sub-Lieutenant.Prachak Thaiphinit was sat watching TV in the front of his home on Soi Chaiyapun, near 3rd Road, when he saw a man run to the front of his drive and duck down behind a car parked there.

Wondering what the man was doing the officer approached the man and asked who he was and what he was doing. Unsatisfied with the man’s answer and noticing that the man had something under his clothes, Khun Prachak asked for permission to see. It soon became apparent that the man, who turned out to be a Mr. Peerapan Sala-Ngam, had stolen possessions on his person.

He died of shock who would have thought the police would actually being doing their duty.

At that point Khun Prachak notified Mr. Peeraphan that he was a police officer, whereupon the burglar went into a state of shock and promptly dropped dead.

How old was the guy? Article says he had a heart condition. Perhaps if he was old and had a heart condition a slight shock was enough to set him off?
