Finnish man drops in for a drink in Walking Street - through the roof.

PATTAYA: -- Late night drinkers in Walking Street had the shock of their lives when a tourist fell though a roof right in front of them.

The Finnish man has apparently fallen from a window of his third floor room.

Medics rushed to the scene in Soi Diamond and found Jerry Soderholm, 30, with head injuries and other injuries to his body. There was a lot of blood as drinkers - both Thai and tourists - looked on in disbelief.

Mr Soderholm was given emergency first aid at the scene then was transferred to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

A hotel caretaker told medics that the victim had been smoking a cigarette at his window on the third floor before slipping and falling out. There is no balcony to the room, number 103.

"Everybody at the bar downstairs was so shocked when he fell through the roof, " said the caretaker who quickly called for help.

Lucky for him his life wasn't finnished !

Wish him full recovery.

Smoking is dangerous as you see.

And Thai window frames seem to be as low as the balcony rails whistling.gif

"the shock of their lives"?

Seems tourists dropping from the sky is a weekly occurrence in Pattaya.

Hell, it rains people more than rain, in the last month.

Yes, and they are still asking for blood donation.

You can always tell a Finn, but not that much....?

Takes "dropping in" to a whole new level...

They should release statistics on how many foreigners die in Thailand who do not go to bars, drink, smoke,do drugs, fall from buildings,or ride motorcycles. Just leaves accidents and death by ladyboys...

Never a dull moment in sin city. Only the smartest people go there ...Duh !!!

He might give up smoking, he certainly felt flat after the last one...

What a downer. ;)

Lucky for him he could have been finished completely.

Just opened on my phone. You aren't missing much if you can't open it.

Just another normal evening in Soi Diamond. Keep walking, nothing to see here.

A proper entrance by my fellow countryman. A tip though, stock up the minibar next time so you won't be in such a hurry. Kippis!

No amulet, obviously.

Puts a whole new meaning on the name the flying Finn I wish him a speedy recovery and just a smoking room the next time and just have a seat at the window

Plod in the middle is pointing but he is not sure what at.

"There is no balcony to the room, number 103."

Doesn't seem to help that much around Pattaya, anyway.

Perhaps when the bar closes down and re-opens again, it will be called 'The Drop Inn'

more groans . . .

Wish him full recovery.

..what brand I wonder....Lucky Strike...tongue.png

Happy that he survived his mishap. but this is always stressful for Thai Visa posters since they can't run wild speculating that he was pushed.
