M.L. Panadda inspects safety measures of water parks in Phetchaburi

PHETCHABURI, 3 May 2016 (NNT) - Government officials have examined safety measures of Santorini Water Park in Cha-am district of Phetchaburi.

Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office M.L. Panadda Disakul, Office of the Consumer Protection Board Secretary-General Ampol Wongsiri and related officials conducted the inspection.

The inspection went smoothly without any irregularities.

According to the inspection team, the move came after recent reports of accidents involving children visiting amusement parks during the ongoing summer break. Amusement parks normally see a large number of visitors during summer which is a high season.

M.L. Panadda said the inspection would encourage water park operators to be on a heightened sense of alert in terms of people's safety. He then urged related units to focus on providing safety for children, senior citizens and tourists.
